Privacy Policy

How we look after your personal information.

Last updated: 15 September 2026

01. Who we are

Namelogy Studio, also known as Namelogy 焕名 (“we”, “us” or “our”), provides personal naming and name assessment services through this website. This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, request a naming service, make a payment or contact our team. For privacy enquiries, email namelogy.my@gmail.com.

02. Information we collect

We collect the information you provide in our assessment form: your current Chinese name, gender, Gregorian date of birth and WhatsApp contact number. For enquiries, we collect your name, telephone number and chat messages. We also keep order references, service progress, reports, correspondence and payment confirmation details, which may include the payer’s name and email supplied through Stripe.

Our hosting and payment providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and security logs. Please do not send identity documents, full card numbers, passwords or unrelated sensitive information through our form or chat.

03. Why we use it

We use this information to prepare your assessment and report, provide agreed naming services, verify payment, deliver reports, answer enquiries, maintain order records, prevent misuse and meet applicable legal obligations. Required form fields are necessary to provide the assessment; without them, we may be unable to accept or fulfil your request. Information you choose to add to an enquiry is optional.

We do not sell your personal information. Submitting a service form does not subscribe you to promotional messages.

04. Who receives information

Information is accessible to authorised team members and service providers where needed to perform these functions. These include our website hosting and database infrastructure providers, Stripe for payments, FormSubmit for sending order notifications, and email or messaging providers used for correspondence and report delivery. We may disclose information where required by law or to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.

You enter card details on Stripe’s payment page, not in our assessment form. We do not store your full card number or card security code. Stripe handles payment data under its Privacy Policy.

05. Browser storage, analytics and external services

The website uses browser local storage to remember your chat session and session storage to help associate your order with your visit. Clearing this storage may interrupt chat continuity or order recovery.

We also collect limited, cookie-free website usage data, including the page viewed, general device category, referring website and an anonymous temporary session identifier. We use this information to understand website performance and improve the service. It is not intended to identify individual visitors and does not store the contents of forms, chats or payment details. External payment and hosting services may use their own cookies or similar technologies for security and functionality; their notices apply to their processing.

06. Security, retention and overseas processing

We use reasonable safeguards, including restricted administrative access and encrypted website connections, to protect information. No online transmission or storage system is completely secure.

We retain information only for as long as needed for the service, support, accounting, dispute resolution and applicable legal requirements. Information that is no longer needed should be securely deleted or anonymised. Some service providers may process information outside Malaysia; we take reasonable steps to require appropriate protection and comply with applicable transfer requirements.

07. Your choices and requests

You may contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw consent, ask us to limit processing, or request deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where required by law or necessary to resolve a dispute. Withdrawal of information needed for an ongoing assessment may prevent us from completing it; it does not automatically create a refund entitlement. We will explain relevant limitations when handling your request.

For unresolved concerns, you may contact Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Commissioner through the official website.

08. Children and information about other people

Our ordering and enquiry services are intended for adults. A parent or legal guardian may request a baby or child naming service and must have authority to provide the child’s information. If you submit another person’s information, ensure you have appropriate permission or legal authority. Contact us if information has been supplied without authority.

09. Policy updates

We may update this notice to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where required, and further consent will be sought where applicable.
